Within GMail, you can just send IMs to any other GMail user without going through the trouble of adding them, is this possible with YIM?
How do I automatically add contacts to messanger that have Yahoo mail like Gmail users do?
Yes. Click Actions %26gt; Send an Instant Message then select the Other Contact tab and enter the person's Yahoo ID in the box.
For a quicker way, in Messenger 8.0, click the text box above your messenger list and enter the person's Yahoo ID there and press the enter key.
For older versions of messenger, there should be an icon that looks like a cartoon speach bubble that you can click.
