Hi, how do I transfer my Gmail contacts into my Yahoo account? Thanks in advance!?

Hi; There are two ways to get your gmail contacts in to Yahoo! mail contacts. One is to let Yahoo do it for you, but it can take up to 24 hours. The 2nd way is to do it yourself by exporting the contacts from gmail and importing them in to your Yahoo! account. I'll list both ways and let you decide. To havce Yahoo do it for you. Log in to Yahoo Mail! and In the upper right hand choose "Options" then select "Import Contacts". A new window appears with directions of what to do.


To it yourself, You export your gmail contacts list into a .CSV file (comma delimited), then you import that file to your Yahoo! Mail contacts like this:


1. Log in to your Gmail account and on the left side click Contacts


2. Click Export in the lower-left corner of your Contacts list.


3. Choose to export all contacts (gmail groups don't transfer correctly so don't count on groups being in Yahoo mail... this has been a known problem that is still being worked on by gmail)


4. Select the CSV file format (to export your contacts to).


5. Click Export and then choose Save to Disk then click OK.


6. Select a place on your PC to save your file, and click 'OK.' (Remember exactly where this is so you can find it to upload in to your Yahoo! Mail contacts!)


7. Log in to your Yahoo! Mail and


a-1) if using Yahoo! Classic, click on the Contacts tab at the top. on your contact list upper right select Import/Export. A new window appears. Go to step 8 below


OR


a-2) if using the new Yahoo! Mail, in the upper right select mail "Options". On the left side of the Options page is a list. At the bottom select "Contacts Options". A new window appears. On the right Select Import/Export. Go to step 8 below





8. choose the default import file format "MS outlook *.csv.


9. Go to: "Specify the file to import: " and Click the "browse button" to go to where you saved (in step 6 above) the gmail .csv file


10. Click the "Import Now" button





If you don't mind waiting 24 hours for the contact list to be available in Yahoo! Mail, it's probably easier to have/let Yahoo! Mail get them for you. I never tried it that way though.

I can access the internet but i cant access yahool mail or gmail in my unit. why? help please?

My internet is working, i can surf yahoo.com or google.com. when accessing the yahoo mail and entered the username and password - message is "page cannot be displayed". i am wondering why only the yahoo mail and gmail that are encoutering proble. i have tried checking for viruses or spyware, its negative.





BTW, we are using outlook as frontend for our company email

Try opening other mail sites, probably your company has set up firewall for accessing the sites with personal email addresses, coz your official email is already set up on the Outlook. Therefore they have restricted the personal email sites. You should contact the IT department to allow you access those sites. But, just once try this, open up Internet explorer %26gt; tools%26gt; internet option %26gt; clear your history and delete offline files and cookies. try opening the sites again.if it doesnt work, you are definitely on firewall i.e, restricted to browse these sites.

I'm sorry, I don't completely understand what's happening. As I understand, you tried to send a message to a Gmail address and received a MailerDaemon notice. Is this correct? Please also add where in the message you were referred to as mimi. If it was just somewhere in the text, it may have been a code for something else.

yeah, you will see a small tool bar above the message box when sending a message. You'll see a font option, spell check and a smiley face among others. Click on the smiley which gives you all those animated options just click on your choice to be inserted at the point of your cursor. How to edit labels in gmail?

There are two ways to edit a label name.


You can:


1. Click Edit labels at the bottom of your Labels list.


2. Click rename next to the label you want to edit.


3. Enter the new label name, and click OK.


Or, you can:


1. Click the square to the right of a label in your Labels list. A color palette opens.


2. Select Edit name at the bottom of the palette.


3. Enter the new label name, and click OK.


All the messages categorized under your old label name are now categorized under your new label. And, if the label you've edited is part of a filter, Gmail automatically updates your filter settings so new messages are categorized with the new label's name.
