Deleting Spam on Gmail?

Is there a way to have gmail automatically delete all spam messages without you having to manually select "delete all spam messages now"?

No you can't, because you can always receive non-spam messages via the spamfolder.





The best way is to get a new Gmail account and have the mail forwarded from the old one, that way you won't receive the usual spam anymore, and for all kinds of subscriptions keep using the old address, or a Hotmail address.
