Reply:Well, you can get Windows Live Messenger and use it with your Google account, and I am guessing that is what they were telling you. No, guys, it is not stupid, because you can do that, somebody on my MSN contact list has a Google e-mail and has Windows Live.


Technically, I don't think that they are connected in any way, as they are separate emails.
Reply:nope it isn't....haha. As stated above, gmail is by Google. MSN is a network of Microsoft. They are bitter rivals...so yeah. haha. MSN involves Windows Live Messenger, Hotmail, and basically all the windows live services. so yeah. :D

Google is basically opposed to Microsoft, but they do support Open Source software and services which will run on Microsoft OS.
